Having my very own Library, it’s one of the desires I share with Ria and Rezina. Though my expectations connected with it are not at all as precise as Ria’s. But Neil Gaiman’s Library… I would die for something like this *-*. The only missing thing is drinks machine serving coffee and hot chocolate. A lot of hot chocolate. *is daydreaming*
I guess all of us, bookworms, enjoy cosy places filled with scent of paper and dust. It might be cramped, but comfortable. Or at least that’s how it works for me.

I wonder how long it would take to read all of Gaiman’s books. A while, I guess. Now as I think of it there’s one more thing missing: a fridge ;).

I like buying books. My parents think it’s a waste of money. Not because they think I shouldn’t read so much, that’s ok, but I shouldn’t read so fast. If the book has up to 700 pages, I’m usually finished within a day.

On the other hand, even I have books I abandoned or have a hard time finishing.

1. “Anubis” by Wolfgang Hohlbein
I have no idea why I bought this one. It seemed cool: archeologist, mystery, Tomb of Anubis somewhere in the USA, Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider. I’m somewhere in the middle (it has 645 pages) and nothing happened. No seriously, nothing. Narrative is just so boring. If half of this book has been cut off it still would be too long. I would have to be very desperate to finish this one.

2. “Skeleton Crew” by Stephen King
I’ve never been a huge fan of King. I enjoyed some of his books, but still I can’t see the thrill in most of them. Getting scared because of gore scenes? I don’t think so, I’ve read too much of Masterton. I can’t say that this book is very bad. It’s just nothig special or fresh. My favourite short-story is prbably “Survivor Type” and if you could find it somewhere, read it :). It has only 24 pages.

3. “Perfect Imperfection” by Jacek Dukaj
I can’t say that this one is bad. It’s just tough. The world is rather complex and I must really focus to understand it. I’m also not really into sci-fi and that’s the genre. I’d rather ead fantasy books which take me to a different world just like that.
Anyway, I will deffinitely finish this one, it’s well written and still quite compelling. The best thing is that sometimes I get all the words, but a sentence as one? Not really. And don’t even think that I would try translating it…

This is going to be a good year book-wise. Mainly because of few great sequels.
The wishlist:

1. “The Eye of the Moon” by Anonymous
I already have this one on my bookshelf, but my dad is reading it and knowing him it will take another eternity until he’s finished.
It is a sequel to The Book with No Name, which is one of the best books I’ve ever read. I won’t say much more, because I want to write a proper review of this one. I guess I’ll re-read it for the purpose ;).

2. “I, Inquisitor. Towers to Heaven” by Jacek Piekara
Finally, another book with Mordimer Madderdin as main character. I was hoping Piekara will finish Flame and Cross and then move on with Black Death (which was supposed to be released in 2007 x_x”), but it’s better then nothing <3.

3. “Ambassador’s Mission” by Trudi Canavan
The first volume of The Traitor Spy Trilogy, which is a sequel to my beloved Black Magician Trilogy. It will be released in May and I just can’t wait~! I hope the author won’t kill my favourite character… again. Well, I don’t really want to say much more, if you like fantasy and you haven’t read BMT, go for it ;D.

4. “The Desert Spear” and “The Great Bazaar” by Peter V. Brett
The first one is a sequel to The Warded/Painted Man. This book is like the first part of Harry Potter – you must read most of it to actually start enjoying it. Polish edition is devided into two parts and I got pulled in in the end of part one. Totally pulled in. I hope the sequel is as good as the last pages.
The Great Bazaar is a collection of short stories which take place in the same world as other Brett’s books. I’m not waiting for it, but if I had a chance, I’d try it.

5. “The Lost Symbol” by Dan Brown
I wonder why I didn’t read it quite yet. I like Brown’s style. The da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons were really good. I guess I like action and mystery, so that’s deffinitely something for me. I must get it soon <3. And I hope there will be no movie based on this one…

Of course, there are few other, older books which I’d love to read. Most of them by Polish authors and the only one you could have heard of is probably The Witcher. I can’t believe I haven’t read this one yet. And maybe I will finally finish The Lord of the Rings?  I can’t even remember how much I’ve already read ;D. The Hobbit was so much easier to get through…

PC version this time. I don’t feel like buying PlayStation3 just for this one game. It might be powerful, but still it’s yet another PlayStation, nothing revolutionary here (in other words: it’s not Nintento Wii ;D).

There’s just one little problem. My PC. SH6 requires a bit too much.

Getting more RAM woudn’t be a problem, but a DuoCore processor – indeed. If I wanted to get it, I’d have to get the whole new motherboard. If I did, I’d have to change the graphics card as well.

Anyway, I can’t really afford it now, so I guess I’ll -try- to play the way it is: on my sister’s PC, Bonifacy ;D. I am able to start the game there, but it gets stuck in the middle of action, but honestly, it is a real pain in the ass.
There is a dodge button (new option in SH), but before Alex dodges it’s already after the attack and since he respondes to, like, one third of MY attacks… well, let’s say there’s not enough Health Drinks all over Shepherd’s Glen. But I have to live with it, I guess. Unless I win in some kind of a lottery or something.

As for the game itself, some people, who are just as obsessed with Silent Hill as I am, rated it highly.
Personally, I don’t want to be too hopeful, I don’t want it to be a total dissapointment. Since I already started the game, after I wrote that part, I must say that it’s pretty decent. And it deffinitely has its strong points, like Pyramid Head. In his movie version. Which is more terrifying than Silent Hill 2 version.
It was really cool when he appeared right after the game started <3.

So if you won’t hear from me within a week I:
a) am still playing *-*,
b) got pissed at Bonifacy and threw it through the window (sounds cool XD),
c) died of a heart-attack and there was no one around to rescue me (which is hardly possible, because my mom is always watching me play [I am the remote keeper XD or keyboard keeper, this time]).

My computer has been acting really strange lately. When I want to shut it down nicely it doesn’t listen to me, so I must turn it off by holding the power key. It gets nicely off just from time to time.

Today I turned it off only by the command and went to my parents’ room to watch “Got Talent” show. During the break I figured out that the PC didn’t shut down, so I used the button. It was off. Really.

After the show we decided to watch the movie.
Well, it was quite boring at the beggining, but I liked it overall. It wasn’t as scary as I imagined, my mom even fell asleep… But it had its moments.
I deffinitely like the fact that it was grading the pressure, the longer it took the more things were happening.
Cool.

After the movie I came to my room and the first thing I saw was the red light of my hub. If the PC was off as it should be the light wouldn’t be on. So I kind of stopped at the doorstep of my room, turned around and came back to my parents.
I have no idea what happened.I turned this damned thing off. There’s no way it could turn on by itself and we all were in my parents’ room.

So basically, if you won’t hear from me in a while, it would mean that something dragged me of my bed and smashed me on the ceiling <3.

Yup. My MUSE obsession is getting stronger and stronger. Especially after I put my hands on their latest album: “The Resistance”.
Do I really have to say how much I love it? Or that I would trade my soul just to get to their concert in Barcelona? (Well, ok it’s Badalona, but it’s right next to!)

The second term (or fourth, depending on how you count them…) started and it’s hard. There’s this thing called Econometrics. Mathematics, statistics, economics and probability in one. *dies* My brain simply turns into water every Tuesday.
Fortunately, I’m at school three times a week and once a month Mondays are free~!
Unfortunately, on every “free” day I’m supposed to be at work. Including weekends, sometimes. Well, my boss thinks that I should spent every afternoon working.
I wonder for how long I’ll be working here… Since I got my promotion I’m being lectured 3 times per day just because. But well, that’s a subject for separate entry.

When it comes to entries, I have some things written and saved at home (since I no longer trust in WordPress’ drafts), but I just don’t have time to sit and finish anything or make it sound decent.
Ha ha, I bet everyone would love my MUSE review (which got deleted dammmmmmmmmmit!) if the actual review part consisted of “I love it you must listen to it it’s awesome omg I love muse <3333″, right? XD So yeah, I deffinitely shall rephrase few things there ;D.

Besides I opened RT which has been even more dead than this place, but I’ve been working on something, actually. Vector of my OC Lazuri (done in Illustrator~ and yes, it is spelled with “R”).

There are two more things which kept me busy for the last few weeks: books and video games.

As for the books, there’s a Polish writer Jacek Piekara. He wrote quite a few short stories (five books so far, 400+ pages each) about Holy Inquisition, or rather one of the inquisitors: Mordimer Madderdin. The thing is that the world Piekara created is a bit different than ours. It is a world where Jesus Christ didn’t die on the cross, but He descended it and, with the help of apostles, cold-bloodedly murdered half of Jerusalem (in Polish this ‘cold-bloodedly’ part was said more pointedly, but I couldn’t find it in any of my dictionaries).
I didn’t really want to even start reading it since I’m an atheist and this whole religious crap just doesn’t work for me, but I gave it a chance. And now I love it. I don’t know if there’s a point in writing anything else about it here, because most of you won’t read it anyway.
It just kept me busy for quite some time. I really have been reading a lot lately. Piekara is just my latest obsession.

Now video games, or a game I should say. Heroes of Might and Magic III. It’s old, I know. I haven’t played it in quite a while and I’ve already forgot how playable it is. It’s all my sister’s fault! One day she asked me if I wouldn’t play with her as an ally. I agreed. Since that day I must finish at least one map per day x_x”. Still, it’s better than my Dungeon Siege obsession. I have been playing it for… four months? Day by day. Few hours per day.

Anyway, now you see that I had better things to do than blogging ;) (yeah, especially the last paragraph).
Ok, I shall end by now, it’s time to at least pretend I’m actually working ^-^.
